I always wanted to make a difference in the world, but never imagined where that would take me. One day, waiting for the next set of waves off the North Shore, I was lucky enough to bump into one of the best leadership scholars in the world. That chance meeting led to a decade researching at places, like Columbia and Harvard, and working in some of the most respected companies across the globe.
I learned a lot about leadership. Not that old-school leadership, where somebody has all the answers and convinces everyone to go along. The kind of leadership that engages all of us who want to make a difference in our companies, communities, and our own lives. The kind of leadership that connects people and unleashes their potential in the service of a shared purpose. Real leadership.
Real leadership is grounded in great ideas, backed by research. But those ideas only matter if people can put them into practice. Like it or not, this means a dramatic change in how organizations train their leaders. Understanding adult development is the key to helping people change their thinking and their behavior. I put the work into learning and applying those lessons, because without them, it’s just a lot of wasted effort.
Building a company was never my primary goal. I just wanted to take the best ideas about leadership and turn them into practical tools that would make a difference for real people. But over the years, I’ve learned that without the right team, all you end up with is a pipe dream. Cambridge Leadership Group is built on that hard-won experience. I’ve assembled a tremendous team, to realize the dream of helping people and organizations step up to real leadership.

Our network faculty are more than just skilled trainers, they have deep business experience in a wide variety of industries, functions, and many are adjunct faculty at well respected universities.
